Oct. 26, 2008- Mark R. Scoville is an anti-drilling advocate who is no fan of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Scoville is from Broadview Heights and grew up in Mentor-on-the-Lake.
He also is a member of the Northeast Ohio Gas Accountability Project, an ad hoc group opposed to the liberalized petroleum drilling regulations approved by the state legislature under House Bill 278.
The rules given to the Natural Resources Department are sweeping, said Scoville, empowering the agency with additional authority at the expense of those who live next to a drilling operation.
